The way I see it, there are two types of people during this time. Half of us are seen as productive. You know, the usual waking up at the crack of dawn, going for a run, and using any free time to study.
And then there is the other half of us who spend days staying up past 2 AM only to find that when we wake up, we're just in time for dinner.
Nevertheless, even though there are two different aspects of how we fill our time, one thing is for sure. All of us have had the opportunity to reflect during this time.
For the past few months, we have all seen how broken our world is.
From the COVID-19 impact all the way to racial injustice, our world is continuously facing challenges.
But in the midst of all this, we can recognize how fortunate and blessed we are. While most of the world's population doesn't have the proper necessities to get through this time, we have to be grateful for all that we have.
And that brings me to the fact that we have always taken the simple things for granted- hugs, shopping, going to school, visiting family, hanging out with friends and dinner at a restaurant.
After quarantine, I hope that we can enjoy all of these without ever taking them for granted and appreciate our freedom a little more!
We understand that this time may be confusing, stressful, and somewhat frustrating but even if we don't see it, God's plans are far greater. We can rest assured because He tells us, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
